Hello all:

I have my 902 transverter back for DEM with a plug in relay...nice addition because the new relay also failed.  It is clear now that the aux relay contact, rated at 3 amps at 30 volts, will not switch the microwave relay without destroying the aux contact.  Interestingly, the coil on the relay draws 230ma at 12 volts, so why is the relay failing?  

I believe the relays come in higher ratings so I'll try that and for the time-being I'm QRV 902mhz using a separate power supply to switch the relay.
