[FLWSS] SVHFS Conference

Hi Gang. 
 John posted the call for papers for the SVHFS conference. It has been posted on the internet, in the popular VHF/UHF and Microwave journels and at other VHF/UHF/Microwave club web sites. I want all of you guys to understand this is our conference. If you missed the last meeting at Johns, allow me to explain. I am the program chairman for the conference in April. I collect the papers for the proceedings and set-up the technical program for the conference. With the conference being held in Orlando, it is a great opertunity to showcase the VHF/UHF and Microwave activity and type of operation we have in the state of Florida. Yea, thats right, I'm the new guy to the state and the last one to ask about operating in Florida but---- This makes me the ideal guy to sort it all out and set up a technical presentation that can highlite what is going on down here in Florida. What I would like all of you to do is to decide if you would like to write a paper for the proceedings (short or long!!) and/or give a presentation. You can reveiw the "Call for Papers" and let me know. If you write a paper, it is a sure bet it will be published (even if your spelling and grammer is as bad as mine!) As for the presentations, I will give FLWSS members first dibs at the time slots. The presentations time slots will soon be filled up with Hams wanting to show us what thay are doing within the hobby. A presentation doesn't need to be a solo act. If you and a buddy or two want to do something, please let me know. If you need help with something or just can't decide if it is worthy or not, let me know. A presentation can be old or new news. It could be a tour of your station (although we will be looking for Unique!) or can detail a rover operation and setup in Florida. If you have an Idea and want to run it by me please do.  This conference is already shapping up to be a great one with some well know "enthusist" such as W5ZN, W5LUA, WD5AGO, WW2R, and K1WHS promising to attend. More well knowns are tentively making plans and will be listed on both web sites as they become known. Hope I can put some of you on the same list. 

 So for now, read , enjoy, and get involved. Its our conference. I have already recuted some help from the group and would be more than happy to spread the work load around if someone else wants to step up and volunter to help out. Just let me know because there is plenty to do.
