Hi Bill,

You may wish to consider a DEMI preamp kit, which has a transmit inhibit feature to protest the Gasfet.  Then you can use a relay with lower isolation, saving $$$, but still one probably should use a sequencer with 500 watts.  I do this on 220 mhz.  In comparison, SSB electronic mast-mount preamps are good too but they cost more for the total system (preamp, relay, sequencer) and have less "high power" capability.
