Yes, I made it out for a few hours but  my six meter antenna failed  structurally and started to fall off the truck after an 18 wheeler passed close-by. The rest of the gear worked.  Excuses, excuses. 
Yes, I plan to bring a 10 GHz rig to Orlando. I finally got a generic transverter interface debugged. I can use that with all the 2 meter up-converters I have. 

Yes, talking about it is easier than doing it. I kissed the blarney stone just once. ... maybe twice.

Yes, Chuck says Amateur Radio is a contact sport, and he is right.

No, I am not pissed off. After years of delay, I am finally making progress on microwaves partly because of enthusiastic prodding.
