Hi John, all

That's great John! And thank you. BTW, I have been meaning to join the MW reflector.

As a recent arrival myself, I am pleased to encourage everyone to take up 903, and above. I would have to correct some information in my recent FLWSS e-mail about my experiences, however! But certainly we in FLWSS can do much more with these bands here in Florida.

The key is a steady movement forward without getting frustrated....this is not easily done! I almost quit several times. Anybody can make silly mistakes even if they are technically very competent! For example, another very important barrier to successful microwave operation is NOT having 12 volts where it must go!

...this is an "inside joke" on me, based on experience, that I'll share with all! It will be a better experience to share with a beer in my hand.

I am qrv on 2.3 and 3.4g but I owe debts of gratitude to: K0VXM, KI4NPV, N2CEI, and FLWSS! Without their help I would have a pile of broken equipment in a box.

I want to thank Will, Chuck and Joe for putting in the effort to establish expectations for non-roving stations. I am encouraged to finish up my tilt-tower with 1.3, 2.4 and perhaps 3.5 GHz equipment. I know there are other builders out there who are also one step away from putting the radios on the air. So, Will, I think you should forward your post to the MW reflector so other flatlanders will be encouraged. I plan to sharpen my chain saws since the county prevents me from going up over 69 feet.

John the elder who is slowly making that last step. K2STO, EL88
