Hi Dave!

FB, and congratulations on deciding to move to 1296!  It's a great band.  Whatever you might have about  4 inches x 4 inches or so, or larger, would work fine I think, at say 10 watts output.

If you will be a the conference I can pick it up there, or you can mail it to me and I'll reimburse you for the postage by returning some stamp to you.

If you give me an idea for the size of the heatsink, I will dig in junkbox and find one for the cause. I have been helped by a number of others on this site, and would gladly help with such a project. 
Your timing is excellent as 1296 will be my next band on the climb up the spectrum.
