[FLWSS] Malabar Fire

We are alive and well. Jim said he thinks my house even made it on TV (he
noticed the towers)

I haven't had continuous TV for two days.

Power was sporadic yesterday as was cable TV and internet service. Power
came back on at midnight.

Four homes close to me burned.  The woods in front of the QTH is a moonscape
now. Smoke is bad. 

The rate of burn was so fast from the wind, a neighbor had an acre and a
half burn clean in 20 minutes.

Access to be able to get home is iffy because of the road closures. (I can
get out but can't  get back in). 

Somehow I managed to evade the flames so far with the exception of a couple
of flare-ups on the property 

that were quickly put out.  Hoses are strung out and ready to go. I hope
today is better and they can get a grip on things.

Walter K4HV and Jim NN4AA live right in the heart of where this terrible
fire has burned for going on two days.  Has anybody on the list heard from
them? If either needs anything, I'm just on the other side of the river.
